Just as your skin wishes to indulge in pampering, your tresses too require your pampering and attention. Well, grab a DIY Hair mask and show some love to your hair. Hair masks are super beneficial for your hair as they provide all the necessary nutrients to your scalp. Starting from eggs, butter, yogurt, avocados and aloe Vera the selection of ingredients is never-ending. So, to make it easy for you we’ve a quick guide of the best at-home hair treatment that you can easily make yourself.
And the best part about this hair treatment is that you can get these ingredients easily at home. If you are tired of continuous thinning and brittle hair, then here is the solution…….Ingredients:
1) 1 Egg (white or yellow as per your hair type)
2) Coconut oil (1 tablespoon)
3) Curd (1 tablespoon)
4) Onion juice (1 tablespoon)
5) Vitamin e capsule (2)
6) Lemon juice (1 tablespoon)
How to make: Take a bowl, add all the ingredients into it and whisk them well till they blend properly. With a help of a brush (optional), apply the mask to your hair. When applying, put the mixture on hair from roots to ends and gently massage the mixture into the scalp. Once it is done, keep your hair covered using a plastic wrap or a shower cap and let it sit for 40 minutes to an hour to really penetrate the hair. Then shampoo and rinse thoroughly. To get beautiful results, use it once a week for a month and see the difference.
How this works: Egg yolks are an easy fix to damaged hair, it strengthens strands, restricting hair loss and enhancing hair elasticity. The white of an egg may suit oily hair more while an egg yolk can prove to be more beneficial for dry hair. However, applying the whole egg may allow the hair to extract twin benefit of both the yolk and the white, so It can be particularly used by people with regular or combination hair. Secondly, Curd is very rich in protein. It hydrates your scalp along with removing dandruff (if any). Also, it helps in fixing frizzy hair and improving its shine. Thirdly, onion juice, when added to the hair and scalp promotes hair growth. Lemon juice, acts as an add on, as it provides a great shine and shimmer to your hair. Vitamin E is shown to increase capillary circulation in the scalp, which helps in increasing hair growth. It supports the scalp and gives your hair a strong base to grow and improves lustre and hair quality. Lastly, Coconut oil improves the scalp health, moisturises dry hair, adds lustre, shine and softness to the hair. And most importantly, the use of coconut oil helps reduce protein loss in all hair types.
